Around the Bases Afghan

20151223_190443_hdr.jpgThe Around The Bases Afghan (on Ravelry) (ATB) is a pattern by ChiChi that allows you to use any center square or rectangle (home base) for it’s center piece. It was extremely fun to work up and leaves a beautiful and interesting product in the end.

imageI chose See How They Run as my center square, but needed to add an additional round to get the necessary stitch count for the ATB pattern. The ATB will walk you through this process.

ATB pattern is extremely well written and easy to follow.

I love this one so much that I gave it to my longtime friend. Unfortunately her cat stole it. 😉

I used Lion Brand Yarn Vanna’s Choice. (I lost count of the yardage, sorry).

I plan to do this one again with a different center square. Each time you make this one, it will feel like a completely different afghan, I am sure.
