Sauerkraut Updates

Hello everyone! I am three weeks into my sauerkraut adventure and guess what… my brine was evaporating!

I picked out some of the browning bits of cabbage. Then I made a batch of fresh brine by boiling 2 quarts of water with 3 tbsp sea salt and, after cooling it, added it to my jar. Hopefully that will keep till the kraut is done. 🙂

  1. Just started mine last weekend so thanks for posting photos and info!! Just did 2 heads with salt…added more brine and have it held down…would love to see photos of your results!
